Why we should not eat junk food

Thursday 11 August

In my opinion I believe that we should not eat junk food, I will provide you with adequate reasons as to why we should not eat junk food.

Although junk food is tasty it has chemicals, e.g. chicken nuggets ,the chemicals inside the chicken nuggets can lead to poisoning that can lead, to cancer and to death.

When you consume large portions of junk food the first point of entry is your mouth. The junk food comes in contact with your teeth. Junk food is also high in salt and sugar and this affects the teeth by rotting them.

The problem gets worse when people don't brush their teeth regularly. When people have problems with their teeth they visit the dentist and this can cost a lot of money when this money can be used on nutritious food.

I trust  I have provided you with adequate reasons as to why we should not eat junk food.

Persuasive writing: Why animals shouldn't be held in captivity

Tuesday 23 August 2016

In my opinion animals should not be held in captivity. I will provide you with many reasons as to why animals should not be held in captivity.

Tigers are born to hunt , they are natural predators. By keeping them in the zoo they will lose their natural ability to hunt. If you release them from the zoo they will because they don't know how hunt. In the zoo the food is provided and this is not good for them. This is how they lose their natural ability. If you keep them in captivity , Tigers will become lazy because they are not getting enough exercise. In the wild they move around and they are more active. Surely you will agree with me tigers are better off in the wild.

The food provided in the zoo has lots of chemicals because it is processed food. It makes them sick and lazy. In their natural habitat , food is naturally provided for animals. This makes the animals strong and healthy. Surely you would agree with that the natural environment is the right place for the animals.

In the zoo people throw objects at the animals. This makes them angry and want to attack. There have been incidents when animals have attacked zoo attendants and people visiting the zoo. This is not good for the animals and the people.

This can make the animals sick and unhealthy and also

Explanation writing: How food is digested

Thursday 8 September 2016.

How is food digested?

Do you know how the food you eat is digested?
I will provide you with an explanation.

When food is placed in your mouth it is masticated by your mouth as well as saliva. The food is moved to the back of your mouth by the tongue. This is place is called trap doors or oesophagus.

The food moves to the stomach where it is broken down by digestive  juices. The broken down food moves to the small intestine. Here the goodness is taken in. Then the remainder of the food is moved to the large intestine. Here the water is removed.

Wasted food is excreted though the anus.
